Miyavi US Tour Cancelled
[info]missotakux621
As I walked out class not to long ago a thought came to me that has been plaguing my head for the last few days. "Why did Miyavi postponed NYC?...AGAIN!?" So I once again, for the billionth time, checked his site. And there in on the main page, dead center was the confirmation. Apparently things with the band getting into the US and Miyavi himself, getting injured on during his European tour are to blame. I honestly don't put past him to get hurt, but come on with the band situation. How many tours has he done and has been able to perform everywhere without seemingly a stitch?? Oh well. I guess I'll be giving Xavy back the money he gave me for the ticket.

Check for yourselves guys and face palm all you want. I do hope he recovers from whatever injury he got; must be serious if he had to go back to Japan to be treated. Then again, I wouldn't trust Mexican Hospitals either >_>.

Graduation? Really? Already O_O
[info]missotakux621
Time sure has a way of sneaking up on you. One day your happily walking down street on your way to class and the next your wondering, "Hey, I've been goin to school for how long now? 2 yrs in the art program next spring. And if my calculations are correct, that means I'll be graduating from my AS degree program. Yay me. Oddly enough, if you can tell, I'm not very excited. Like, at all. I guess it's due to the fact that I transfered so many times it's just a passing breeze by now. But it's ok I guess. Later on, it'll finely hit me. It'll click inside my head and I'll find some way of letting everybody know (and when I say everybody, I mean only my closest friends and the internet :P).

But just to be sure, I'll go harass my department chair on Monday and see if I'm right :3

ja!

August 29th Meet Up, Set and Go
[info]missotakux621

Type your cut contents here.My last meet up ideas were a fail and after much thought on my second round of ideas, those didn’t sound too appealing either. Sure visiting a museum and walking through a park is a great way to spend time together but it doesn’t make sense to carry our food and packages all day, THEN sit and have a picnic T_T.

So my third try has to be the one >_>

And thus I present to you the last and final location for the August 29th Meet up:

Time: 12 noon

Location: Meatpacking District

The High Line was built in the 1930s, as part of a massive public-private infrastructure project called the West Side Improvement. It lifted freight traffic 30 feet in the air, removing dangerous trains from the streets of Manhattan's largest industrial district. No trains have run on the High Line since 1980.

From more information, visit the site at http://www.thehighline.org/

The plan is this: A walk through part of the Highline, where we enjoy the scenic architecture and design enriched neighborhood the meatpacking district has to offer. For those of you that didn’t know the meatpacking district has the most art galleries in one given area than anywhere else in the world, as well as some of the best (an most expensive) shopping you can ever hope for. Therefore there will be no set time for a photoshoot. We can take them as we walk, like high-end couture models XD.

To wrap up the day, we will be having lunch at Amy’s Bread, a super cute bakery in he heart of the Chelsea Market. http://www.amysbread.com/

FYI: I will be going on a family road trip soon and won’t be able to answer any messages. If you are in desperate need of reaching me please PM ME BY FRIDAY NIGHT.

I’m hoping to take you guys to the Freak Show!

Admission for that is $7.50, so if we have a majority rule in favor of the show then we’ll do it >w<

Everything is really in the same area so we won’t be walking crazy distances, but please be sure to wear comfy shoes, bring parasols, and wear SPF!! We will be on the shore!!

Amusements include:

rides - generally $6 a pop (kinda steep)

games - $2 a game

food - can cost anywhere from $3-$10

Note: [YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE PART IN THE LATTER PART OF THE MEET UP]

Don’t worry too much about hair, it’s always windy on the beach.

Do make sure to secure headdresses! If you lose it, it’s gone. This is Brooklyn T_T.

Do make sure to secure purses and wallets O_O. Again. Brooklyn >_>

Do bring your cameras!! Pictures are the absolute best =D

PS: I chose the Aquarium, because I generally do not like the circus. I thought I’d be able to break a promise to myself, but I can’t. I love animals too much and The Ringling Bros. have never really been in my graces. My apologizes if I have disappointed anyone~
